The main purpose behind this suggestion originally was to encourage players to stay online and choose carefully which maps they will revive on. Too often players have complained about the randomness of revive, after all someone who is new doesn't have much bbs so they will want to ensure their money isn't wasted.
In terms of the concerns, I doubt it will look cluttered having a very small text of digits on the top right, even if it somehow does bother people then commands can be made.
In response to the timer, I think 30 mins is better for 3 revives. Either way the timer can be adjusted after trialing it on the server.
Lasltly, the issue of the first zombie struggling to kill players will never go away regardless, unless something like a speed boost is introduced. If a zombie is that desperate to kill another human they will use an invisibility potion, hence why it is there give them an advantage. Additionally, I believe overall people want excuses not to zombie in the first place, as its naturally harder to be a good zombie compared to a human. After all the server becomes boring when new players avoid learning the concept of infecting and how to do so effectively. Therefore the issue is alot deeper than simply adding more restrictions to revive potions.

The revive update is complete, with additional improvements such as requiring a kill to revive to prevent an instant revive. This isn't to say that no more work will be done on revive - as Arvid has suggested on the forum, if development permits, we'd like to tie in XP and revives in some way to make the revive feature even more interesting. For now, however, I can say that this suggestion has been accepted and implemented.
