What area of New Blood are you suggesting this for? The suggestion consists of two parts, either of which can be chosen: a) changing/removing a specific command (referred to as removal of the cmd. thereinafter) or b) changing the rules (referred to as amendment thereinafter)
What are the advantages of your suggestion? The biggest advantage of this would be less trolled new players, feeling unwelcome in the community, because most of the time these players do not understand that these commands do no harm for their player statistics; they also will not be frightened by seeing the kick message which is shown upon the kicking of them - this is especially important for our younger players who might be new to this game. Additionally, if the part a) will be executed, some older players will no longer be able to abuse the nature of these commands by avoiding punishment through giving false reasoning, especially if they are humans about to be killed by other zombies but do not want to be killed, or zombies who start the round by getting infected first and then leaving the server therefore making another player automatically infected.
What is your suggestion and how will it work? Introduction: NewBlood staff member adrxox957 (referred to as the staff member), accompanied with Zingan (but only by asking me to not to commit these actions) accused me (also known as markcxjo in-game, referred to as me thereinafter) of breaking the zombie survival game rules, namely number 5 and number 6. I in turn tried to plead my case proving that I am not in noncompliance of them, but to no avail as the staff member's response was not very professional, inter alia I found it condescending while I tried staying as polite as possible. None of the previously aforementioned rules have been broken, since the detailed description of the rules is available in this forum with the same text which was available in-game before the update of the software, also known as the re-code.
Suggestion part: Thus, I have a suggestion for the server, in which although I do not believe in being accepted. It consists of two choice, one of them should be chosen:
- a) removal of the cmd. /hax and other similar commands such as /crashserver in order for players to not be able to use the command in purposes of trolling or leaving as the only player zombie online which has happened several times, especially with players having comparably less experience
- b) amendment to the rules 5 or 6, which would explicitly state prohibition of mostly harmless player trolling to use these commands for humorous purposes. An example might be: "Players are also forbidden to troll other players to use commands such as /hax or /crashserver to get them kicked".
What are the disadvantages of your suggestion? The disadvantage of this suggestion is purely social - there will be less possibilities of being humorous on the server, namely joking around, "pulling the leg", et cetera. These commands were not created to not be used, they have a purpose, but if according to the staff member or members it is not allowed to be able to talk about them in order to harmlessly troll other people, then why should they exist in the first place?
