My suggestion is:
I've drawn up an Excel spreadsheet that details how the current map list would fit into these new categories, which I left in the staff Discord a while ago. If Administration is interested I'd be happy to send it to them again.
What are the advantages of your suggestion?

What is your suggestion and how will it work?
Reorganise the map list into new categories that have the following characteristics:
- are based solely on gameplay and not on aesthetic.
- consist of maps that are similar to one another in terms of gameplay.
- avoid overlapping with other categories.
My suggestion is:
- Closed Course (maps that allow primarily only one path to take)
- Open Course (maps that have a defined start and end, but allow space for pro-run or hiding along the way)
- Open (pro-run, spleef, circular parkour structures, etc.)
I've drawn up an Excel spreadsheet that details how the current map list would fit into these new categories, which I left in the staff Discord a while ago. If Administration is interested I'd be happy to send it to them again.
What are the advantages of your suggestion?
The current map categories are: Parkour & Course, Themed & Themed Course, Pro-Run & Maze, Spleef & Digging. The issues with these categories are that:
- Themed & Themed Course is an aesthetic category, meaning that if another map category is full, maps of that type can spill out onto Themed & Themed Course, effectively nullifying the map limit.
- Some of the map categories consist of maps that simply aren't similar, e.g. pro-run and maze involve entirely different styles of gameplay. Similarly with spleef and digging.
- The map categories overlap, i.e. a map can simultaneously be a pro-run map and a parkour map.
This suggestion would resolve all of these issues, and successfully enforce the map limit.
What are the disadvantages of your suggestion?
- Work must be done on the forums in rewriting the map list.
