Rule Changes
We have heard your opinions and decided to relax chat rules! The main changes we have made are:
- Relaxation of swearing. Staff will be more lenient on swearing, particularly statements such as "fuck you" and "stfu". However, if you are found to be targeting particular players you may still be punished. We will continue to not allow slurs or other discriminatory language.
- Advertising. We have removed this rule, so you may freely ask players to join another server! Advertising must still be within reason, and if you are found to be making the same request repeatedly or spamming external links, you may be punished.
- Malicious links. You should not post malicious links - these include those that attack, scam or fraud, and link shorteners. This has now been added as a new rule and explicitly stated in writing. Following the recent prevalence of Zoom calls, video call links have also been banned in order to protect the younger members of the community.
Internal Staffing Changes
We want to make the staffing process more transparent to the community, so we have made the following changes:
- Punishment structure. We have posted the general punishment structure here. Please note that this is not a strict structure, and staff reserve the right to skip steps for more severe offences. Steps may also be skipped for non-chat offences if you have previously existing chat notes, and vice versa.
- Staff leaves. We have introduced a new rank for staff on leave so that it's clearer to players who they can approach for help.
- Staffing responsibilities. We have posted the responsibilities of each staff rank here. If you're interested in applying for staff, this will hopefully give you an idea of what you're getting into.
- Staff promotion process. We have posted the process by which staff may be promoted here. If you're interested in applying for staff, this will help you learn more about how to climb the ladder!
