Outlined below are the minimum responsibilities that members of each staff rank are expected to carry out.
Moderator
• The Moderator rank may be viewed as a training rank to help players accustom to a staffing role.
• You should enforce the rules on the server(s) that you staff for, on IRC and on Discord.
• You should notify higher staff if a player should receive a punishment that you do not have the permission level to hand out.
• You should keep up to date with staff news, but you are not expected to regularly contribute to staff discussions.
Operator
• The Operator rank is the standard rank for staffing.
• You should enforce the rules on the server(s) that you staff for, on IRC, on Discord and on the forum areas that apply to you.
• You should be active on Discord and regularly contribute to staff discussions.
• You should contribute to handling player reports and mute & ban appeals.
• If you are interested in becoming a Manager, you should regularly review map submissions and help other staff.
Manager
• The Manager rank is primarily responsible for handling map submissions.
• You should carry out Operator responsibilities on all areas of the New Blood Community, namely Zombie Survival, Map Build, Discord and the forum.
• You should handle map submissions, ideally after an open discussion with other members of the management team. You do not need the intervention of the administration team, however they may offer their opinions.
• You should guide lower staff and answer their questions.
• You should verify new players on Discord and on the forum.
• If you are interested in becoming an Administrator, you should take the initiative to carry out more substantial tasks such as map polls.
• If you fail to fulfil your responsibilities, you may be relieved to Operator or to Respected.
Administrator
• The Administrator rank is responsible for running the New Blood Community and overseeing large-scale changes within the community.
• You should handle administrative tasks, including but not limited to: staff applications, staff promotions, and map polls.
• You should liaise between the community and the development team. This involves delegating clearly written tasks to the development team.
• You should handle suggestions on Discord on the forum.
• You should be active, involved and heard within the community. Most importantly of all, you should be recognisable and well-known by the majority of the community, and as such should be vocal within staff team and the community. You do not need to be excessively active on the servers, but should be regularly available for communication on Discord.
• If you fail to fulfil your responsibilities, the other Administrators may deem it necessary to relieve you to Operator or Respected.
