Patch Notes
We've made the XP level system more balanced and added a few new features! This minor update will be released later this week.
New Levels
We've been told that the earlier levels are too challenging for newer players, so we've placed them more closely together. Open the spoiler to see the new thresholds!
After Level 20, the level difference increases by 250 XP every 10 levels. After Level 100, the level difference is fixed at 2500 XP. Significant store items are unlocked every 5 levels.
Your XP will remain the same, however your level may have changed in this new update. We've adjusted the unlock levels accordingly so that they're similar to the old levels. If you happen to be able to use a store item now that you won't be able to use in the new update, take this opportunity to buy the store item now!
New XP Gain Methods
The previous update introduced the following ways of earning XP:
Surviving a round: 10 XP
+ 1 XP for every additional 5 zombies on the server
Surviving into the last minute of a round: 5 XP
Infecting a human: 1 XP
Infecting an invisible human: 2 XP
We're now rewarding XP for surviving longer into the round, even if you're eventually caught!
1 XP if you survive 20-39% of a round.
2 XP if you survive 40-59% of a round.
3 XP if you survive 60-79% of a round.
4 XP if you survive 80-99% of a round.
+ 5 XP if you survive the full round after a revival.
If you’re infected after reviving, you gain no further XP.
Level Colours
We've introduced a colour gradient to further illustrate how high a level you are!
Themes
Some of you liked teal, some of you liked silver. Here's an idea: why not be able to choose? When you reach Level 35, you have the option to choose your own theme! We've added two preset themes, Classic (default) and Steel. If you want, you can use your own colours - just enter their hex codes! Each change costs 100 bloodbags.
